Responsibilities
- Partner with public sector clients to understand challenges and define AI-driven solutions.
- Build and deploy end-to-end AI applications into production using leading AI-lab and open-source models.
- Collaborate with data annotation specialists and other cross-functional teams to create high-quality training datasets.
- Design and maintain evaluation frameworks for AI model reliability and effectiveness.
- Apply AI/ML techniques, including model fine-tuning and generative or agentic AI development, to real-world use cases.
- Participate in customer engagements with approximately two weeks of travel per quarter.
- Share hands-on knowledge and contribute to scaling AI capabilities in the public sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of post-graduation engineering experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or C++.
- At least 2 years of experience applying AI/ML in production environments, including deep learning deployment, generative or agentic AI applications, or evaluation pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud-based machine learning tools and platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to iterating on machine learning models and datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience at a startup, particularly as a founding engineer, is preferred.
- Experience building and deploying large-scale AI solutions is preferred.
- Proficiency in Arabic is preferred for language-model-focused work.
