Responsibilities
- Design, code, enhance, and maintain custom software solutions and application components.
- Perform database design, development, and optimization within IBM Db2 for i environments.
- Debug, test, troubleshoot, and improve software performance and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.
- Document development processes and code changes.
- Work independently, contribute solutions to work-related problems, and become a subject matter expert.
- Share knowledge with and provide guidance to junior team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with IBM Db2 for i is required.
- Proficiency in IBM Db2 for i is required.
- Experience with database design, development, and optimization in IBM Db2 for i environments is required.
- Ability to write efficient and maintainable code for custom software solutions.
- Familiarity with debugging, testing, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
