Responsibilities
- Own the resilience, monitoring, performance, capacity, maintenance, patching, upgrades, and production support of Java-based data ingestion platforms.
- Detect, triage, investigate, and resolve production incidents; lead root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and sustainable remediation.
- Provide technical direction, day-to-day oversight, coaching, code reviews, and solution design reviews for engineers.
- Build automation and scripts to reduce manual operational effort, improve reliability, and support SRE and AIOps initiatives.
- Create recovery runbooks, technical documentation, service improvement plans, governance processes, and operational performance reports.
- Oversee incident, problem, change, and service-request operations while communicating service health, risks, and remediation progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving data-centric issues across platforms and global teams.
- Hands-on proficiency in Java, Shell, and/or Python, with experience using Ansible, Git, and Jenkins for automation and reliable delivery.
- Experience with data movement and integration technologies and patterns, including NiFi, Kafka, and SFTP.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, big data services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and people management experience with strong Agile delivery practices.
- Proven incident response and problem management experience with knowledge of ITIL or comparable service management frameworks.
- Knowledge of SRE, AIOps, and chaos engineering principles is an advantage.
- Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving skills in complex global environments.
