Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical execution of small to medium initiatives from requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, and release.
- Translate product goals into scalable frontend architecture and improve shared libraries, platform capabilities, maintainability, and performance.
- Identify risks and validate assumptions in ambiguous problem spaces to proactively de-risk delivery.
- Reduce technical debt, improve test coverage, and uphold code quality and performance standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend engineers on trade-offs, API contracts, performance, reliability, and security requirements.
- Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues while contributing to observability, incident response, and post-mortems.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Align technical decisions with business priorities and customer impact.
Requirements
- 5+ years building modern web applications using TypeScript or JavaScript.
- 3+ years working with React or a similar modern frontend framework.
- Experience leading the technical implementation of production features end to end.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
- Experience consuming and influencing RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with debugging complex production issues.
- Experience writing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Preferred experience building or maintaining Electron applications and deep knowledge of idiomatic TypeScript.
- Preferred experience with Storybook, Sentry, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Preferred experience benchmarking and tuning frontend performance and understanding how frontend systems are deployed, monitored, and operated in production.
- Preferred experience building secure payment or form-heavy flows, including PCI-sensitive UIs and hosted payment iframes such as Stripe.
- Preferred exposure to server-side rendering and interaction between server- and client-rendered content.
