Base Salary
$196k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize user-facing experiences that improve Discord discovery, understanding, and onboarding.
- Develop scalable backend systems serving dynamic, high-performance content at scale.
- Work across frontend and backend technologies, including TypeScript, React, Python, and Flask.
- Design and run A/B experiments measuring user acquisition and activation impact.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to identify and iterate on growth opportunities.
- Maintain performance and reliability standards for user-facing properties.
- Write readable, reviewable, maintainable code.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in TypeScript and React, with experience delivering high-performance frontend experiences.
- Practical experience with Python and backend frameworks such as Flask.
- Experience designing and running A/B tests with a data-driven approach.
- Ability to work across the full stack and own projects end to end.
- Bonus: experience with growth-focused engineering, activation, onboarding, acquisition, SEO infrastructure, LLM and search-engine content discoverability, or mobile development.
