Responsibilities

  • Own and drive Quality Engineering, Test Automation, and Continuous Testing strategies across products and platforms.
  • Lead the design, development, and evolution of Playwright-based automation frameworks and Karate API automation solutions.
  • Define automation standards, governance processes, coding best practices, and long-term quality engineering roadmaps.
  • Drive AI-powered testing approaches, advanced automation capabilities, and engineering innovations.
  • Lead release readiness, quality sign-off, risk assessment, root cause analysis, defect prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent Quality Engineering in architecture reviews, design sessions, and engineering leadership forums.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide technical leadership to Quality Engineering and Automation teams.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, and leadership teams on scalable, high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across web, mobile, API, and data platforms.
  • Expertise developing Playwright automation frameworks, including framework architecture, cross-browser testing, parallel execution, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing and automation using Karate, including REST APIs, contract testing, and service integration validation.
  • Experience applying AI/GenAI technologies to automated test generation, intelligent test maintenance, defect prediction, and test optimization.
  • Strong understanding of ETL, databases, SQL, data migration, data reconciliation, and end-to-end data validation.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services, distributed systems, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Zephyr, GitHub, and Jenkins.
  • Experience defining Quality Engineering strategies, testing standards, governance models, automation framework strategies, and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, root cause analysis, risk assessment, stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience with eCommerce applications, customer journeys, order management, payment gateways, inventory management, and large-scale enterprise or customer-facing platforms.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional quality initiatives, influence engineering decisions, mentor teams, and advocate quality-first approaches.
