Base Salary
$182k - $247k/yr
Responsibilities
- Prioritize, design, implement, test, deploy, and operate backend microservices for the Databricks platform and products.
- Build data pipelines using Apache Spark and Apache Kafka.
- Integrate Databricks services with third-party applications and cloud APIs.
- Develop and operate resilient, secure, and scalable distributed systems across cloud environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure and services supporting compute, storage, observability, enterprise platform, service platform, core infrastructure, or machine learning workloads.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of production-level experience in Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
- Experience architecting, developing, deploying, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with service-oriented architectures.
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with software security and systems that handle sensitive data.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to work toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
