Responsibilities
- Define and evolve frontend platform architecture using React, TypeScript, component architecture, state management, and micro-frontends.
- Lead development of a scalable design system and reusable component libraries supporting accessibility, internationalization, theming, and white-labeling.
- Build and maintain monorepo tooling, CLI tools, scaffolding generators, and frontend CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize build performance, bundle size, runtime performance, rendering strategies, test pipelines, and local developer setup.
- Implement frontend observability and enforce performance budgets based on Core Web Vitals.
- Define micro-frontend integration, shared dependency, versioning, and backend integration patterns.
- Serve as the technical authority for frontend and UI decisions, conduct architecture reviews, and define engineering standards.
- Mentor senior engineers, influence cross-team and executive-level decisions, and represent frontend engineering across the organization.
- Enforce frontend security practices including CSP, XSS prevention, and secure OAuth/OIDC authentication flows.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React and modern frontend ecosystems.
- Proven experience building frontend platforms or large-scale UI systems.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript, modern JavaScript, React internals, hooks, rendering lifecycles, and Next.js/SSR/edge architectures.
- Experience with monorepos, build tooling, design systems, and component libraries.
- Demonstrated experience influencing organization-wide architecture and balancing long-term strategy with execution.
- Strong systems thinking, standardization and reuse focus, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills.
