Base Salary
$115k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable software solutions for the Professional Archive Search platform.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Participate in shared on-call rotation, incident response, production troubleshooting, and service reliability improvements.
- Review code, reduce technical debt, and continuously improve software quality and performance.
- Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes environments.
- Monitor application health and performance using Splunk, Datadog, and Grafana.
Requirements
- Experience working in private cloud-based environments and with distributed systems.
- Understanding of modern software development practices and Agile methodologies.
- Around 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with search technologies such as Solr, Lucene, or Elasticsearch.
- Proficiency in Java or C#.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with MS SQL, Linux-based systems, and WSL.
- Exposure to messaging systems such as Kafka or AMQ.
- Strong collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and continuous-learning skills.
- Participation in open-source projects or technical communities is preferred.
- Interest in AI-assisted development and tools such as GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, and Claude Code.
