Responsibilities
- Design and build internal platforms and tools for sensitive data discovery, review workflows, access governance, risk tracking, and remediation.
- Develop backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and automation workflows to identify, analyze, and reduce sensitive data exposure.
- Integrate with object storage, databases, data warehouses, streaming platforms, metadata systems, and production services.
- Partner with security, privacy, compliance, data platform, product engineering, data owners, and platform teams to translate requirements into engineering solutions.
- Drive technical strategy, architecture decisions, reliability improvements, and cross-functional infrastructure or platform initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience supporting large-scale production environments.
- Strong technical leadership experience driving complex, cross-functional infrastructure or platform initiatives.
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, networking, operating systems, observability, and performance engineering.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including compute, storage, networking, containerization, and identity services.
- Experience developing automation for deployment, monitoring, incident response, and platform operations.
- Backend, platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems software engineering experience.
- Strong programming and scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go, or C++.
- Understanding of AWS infrastructure, IAM concepts, permissions, logging, and access patterns.
- Preferred: experience operating mission-critical services with demanding availability, latency, and scalability requirements.
- Preferred: deep expertise in Kubernetes, containers, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and modern observability platforms.
- Preferred: experience defining and managing Service Level Objectives and Service Level Indicators and applying reliability engineering practices.
- Preferred: experience improving system reliability, reducing operational burden, increasing engineering velocity through automation, and influencing architecture across teams.
