Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for customer data and marketing technology architecture.
- Define scalable batch, near-real-time, streaming and event-driven patterns between enterprise data platforms, marketing platforms and customer channels.
- Design reusable approaches for customer profiles, attributes, events, audiences, identity resolution and activation.
- Establish engineering standards for data quality, reconciliation, lineage, observability, testing and deployment.
- Partner with Marketing, Data, Architecture, Privacy, Risk, Security and engineering teams to support trusted customer data use.
- Lead technical and architecture reviews, mentor engineers and remain hands-on in validating designs and solving complex engineering problems.
Requirements
- Experience as a Lead Engineer or Architect with modern data architecture expertise and customer data, marketing technology or customer engagement platform experience.
- Technical leadership across the architecture and engineering of enterprise-scale Martech or customer engagement platforms.
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift.
- Experience with dbt or comparable data transformation and analytics engineering practices.
- Experience with customer data platforms, audience management, journey orchestration or customer activation capabilities.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Adobe Experience Platform, Real-Time Customer Data Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Braze, Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Segment or Tealium.
- Understanding of customer identity, profile management, identity resolution, data contracts and reusable data products.
- Experience with API, batch, streaming and event-driven integration patterns, with the ability to make sound architectural decisions across complex ecosystems.
