Senior Software Engineer (Browser Extension)

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a robust browser extension for Chrome, Edge, and other major browsers using Manifest V3 and modern APIs.
- Implement secure interactions with web content and backend services while following security best practices.
- Optimize extension performance, reliability, and background processes across diverse environments and user workflows.
- Collaborate with endpoint-agent and backend teams to integrate functionality across endpoints and services.
- Monitor evolving browser APIs, security standards, and extension ecosystem changes.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements
- Extensive software engineering experience coding, testing, debugging, and automating complex TypeScript and JavaScript applications.
- Ability to inspect network traffic, DOM structure, and client-side code in third-party web applications.
- Focus on correctness, performance, and reliability of background processes.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently with minimal direction.
- Strong communication and coordination skills when working with developers on non-browser platforms.
- Hands-on browser extension experience, especially Chrome or Chromium Manifest V3, is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Firefox or Edge extensions is a plus.
- Understanding of browser-extension security concepts including permissions, content security policy, isolated worlds, and safe communication between contexts is preferred.
- Experience building cybersecurity products or features such as Data Loss Prevention or Data Security Posture Management is a plus.
