Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business subject matter experts to identify process automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Design, implement, document, test, and maintain business-managed automation, reporting, and workflow solutions.
- Write Solution Design Documents, develop requirements, and support user acceptance testing strategies.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, test, document, and make defined changes to Microsoft Access, Excel VBA, Python, Power BI, Power Apps, and other approved solutions.
- Provide business-hours production support, analyze incidents and exceptions, and coordinate issue resolution with business, vendor, and technology partners.
- Support process mapping, change management, training, implementation, adoption, deliverable tracking, and status communication.
- Develop operational metrics, key performance indicators, and management insights to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Apply established documentation, source control, testing, information security, change management, and operational risk standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, information systems, computer science, analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- Two to four years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, operations, business analysis, process automation, application support, analytics, or a related discipline.
- Practiced coding proficiency with at least one relevant technology such as VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI, Power Apps, or a comparable approved platform.
- Working knowledge of at least one Capital Markets area, such as broker-dealer operations, swap-dealer operations, foreign exchange operations, or client onboarding.
- Ability to analyze business processes, document requirements, support user acceptance testing, interpret data, identify issues, and recommend practical actions.
- Effective written and verbal communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to follow Agile delivery, documentation, testing, change management, information security, and operational risk practices.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Preferred experience includes banking or Capital Markets operations, business-managed automation, analytics, dashboarding, workflow technologies, process improvement, business process management, Lean methods, project delivery, or relevant financial-services certifications.
