Responsibilities
- Lead Test Engineering teams and develop, execute, release, and maintain test plans and procedures.
- Perform automated system integration testing for newly developed or enhanced applications.
- Translate business and functional requirements into test results and advise on test automation strategies.
- Develop backend, frontend, API, database, and end-to-end test automation, including reusable framework functions.
- Track test execution milestones and report issues, risks, dependencies, and potential project timeline impacts.
- Support delivery pipeline adoption, environmental and data requirements, process compliance, documentation, and risk controls.
- Partner with Product Management, Application Development, DevOps, business experts, and other technical teams.
- Coordinate technical and project management activities and mentor junior test engineers.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of related experience delivering software solutions with hands-on automated testing.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in backend test automation using Rest Assured or Karate for API testing.
- Experience with JDBC/JPA for database testing with Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake, plus sophisticated SQL queries.
- Proficiency in automation across UI, services, and APIs and with CI/CD technologies and tools.
- Strong Java and Selenium development skills, including Selenium WebDriver for frontend test automation.
- Experience with Test Engineering methodologies, test automation frameworks, software implementation lifecycles, and testing processes.
- Experience with Jira, ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Agile/Waterfall environments, onsite/offshore coordination, and modern scripting-language-based components.
- Experience mentoring junior test engineers and working independently and collaboratively; Unix, Python, and AWS experience is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
