Responsibilities
- Develop test plans and test cases for BMS, motor control, OBC, charging, cell-balancing, and electrification features.
- Build and maintain battery-cell simulator and HIL benches for BMS hardware and software validation.
- Configure motor-inverter HIL environments with motor emulation for FOC and regenerative-braking testing.
- Execute ISO 15118 charging-protocol conformance, PLC communication, EXI integrity, TLS handshake, and V2G timing tests.
- Perform ISO 26262 ASIL D safety-mechanism testing, including fault injection and protection validation.
- Develop automated BMS regression scripts using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB Simulink.
- Execute inverter, OBC, and DC-DC converter performance and power-quality tests.
- Validate CCS, AC/DC, CHAdeMO, GB/T, ISO 15118, and Plug and Charge interoperability with third-party EVSE equipment.
- Analyze test results and create SOC error plots, efficiency maps, and thermal-performance dashboards.
- Maintain requirements traceability and ASPICE and ISO 26262 verification documentation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience is stated for the project role, while the additional information requires a minimum of 4 years in automotive electrification, xEV embedded systems, BMS, motor control, OBC, or powertrain domains.
- BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Electronics, Electrical, Power Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or Computer Science, with 15 years of full-time education.
- Experience in electrification or power-electronics verification and validation, BMS testing, motor-control HIL, or EV-charging validation.
- Hands-on experience with battery-cell simulators, programmable power supplies, or electronic loads.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 ASIL D testing, fault injection, safety-mechanism coverage, and diagnostic coverage.
- Experience with dSPACE SCALEXIO and motor-inverter simulation for FOC and SVPWM testing.
- Understanding of IEC 61851-1, ISO 15118-2, DIN 70121, CCS, and CHAdeMO conformance testing.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and CAPL for test automation and power-electronics data analysis.
- Knowledge of Yokogawa WT series or Hioki PW6001 measurement equipment.
- Preferred experience with CharIN test systems or Keysight SL1040A, EMC pre-compliance testing, WLTP/NEDC testing, battery thermal validation, and functional-safety evidence reviews.
