Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain scalable, multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms using AKS and GKE.
- Define container lifecycle practices covering pipelines, registries, vulnerability scanning, and runtime policies.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions with Terraform or OpenTofu across cloud environments.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and advanced deployment strategies.
- Build self-service platform tools for product and engineering teams.
- Establish container security standards, including RBAC, secrets management, admission controllers, scanning, and compliance controls.
- Implement observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, and Datadog.
- Support testing, root cause analysis, production issue resolution, platform modernization, reliability, and uptime.
- Advise engineering leadership on platform and DevOps strategy and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with global engineering, infrastructure, cloud engineering, information security, QA, data, architecture, and product teams.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud engineering focused on containers and distributed systems.
- Proven expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and enterprise-scale container orchestration.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure, including networking, IAM, storage, and monitoring.
- Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform, and automation frameworks.
- Experience designing, operating, and scaling development platforms in distributed, multi-team environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud and container security, compliance, performance optimization, and secure development practices.
- Experience with Agile Development, including Scrum or Kanban, story estimation, code reviews, and pair programming.
- Experience working in distributed or remote teams with Jira, GitHub, Miro, and Azure DevOps.
- Fluency in English and Spanish and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO27001, GDPR, and SOC2.
- Preferred experience with service mesh architectures, advanced networking, multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies, FinOps, cost optimization, global organizations, Sentry, and Lighthouse.
