Responsibilities
- Automate deployments, configuration management, capacity management, and repetitive operational tasks.
- Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and support company products and production applications.
- Develop internal tools, infrastructure standards, procedures, and operational processes.
- Respond to and resolve production issues while supporting system stability and performance.
- Gather, analyze, and report IT system data and provide status feedback to developers.
- Research, troubleshoot, document, and provide training for product-related IT systems.
- Plan and complete IT projects and goals and communicate technical and business subjects to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Intermediate programming and scripting knowledge, including knowledge of Python and Java.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking and DNS.
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Hudson, and TeamCity.
- Experience with build automation tools such as Maven and Gradle.
- Experience with configuration/CD tools such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible is preferred.
- Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience with Tomcat, Redis, Solr, Nginx, and Nirvana Messaging is a plus.
- Strong communication, documentation, research, problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, time-management, project-management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently, understand business processes and IT systems, and present technical information to varied audiences.
