Responsibilities
- Automate deployments, configuration management, capacity management, and repetitive operational tasks.
- Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide subject-matter expertise for company products.
- Develop internal tools and processes to improve infrastructure stability and performance.
- Respond to and resolve production issues and provide system-status feedback to developers.
- Develop, manage, and document product-related IT procedures and infrastructure standards.
- Gather, analyze, and report IT system data.
- Research, troubleshoot, and document product-related IT systems.
- Plan and complete IT projects and goals.
- Help define and establish system administration functions.
- Provide product-related IT training and present technical and business topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Intermediate programming and scripting knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of Python and Java.
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking and DNS.
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Hudson, and TeamCity.
- Experience with build automation tools such as Maven and Gradle.
- Preferred experience with configuration and continuous delivery tools such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible.
- Preferred experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Tomcat, Redis, Solr, Nginx, and Nirvana Messaging is a plus.
- Proficient understanding of standard IT concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, research, analytical, documentation, communication, interpersonal, time-management, project-management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently, produce maintainable documentation, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
