Base Salary
$300k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build automated detection systems that use disparate signals to identify abusive behavior.
- Develop systems from proof of concept through production, including monitoring, documentation, testing, and maintenance processes.
- Build and maintain YARA rule infrastructure and tools for writing, validating, and testing rules against real data.
- Integrate external threat intelligence platforms through MCP servers for multi-source investigation correlation.
- Create pipelines ingesting RSS feeds, CTI news, and partner intelligence, using Claude to extract TTPs and generate hunting queries.
- Develop DBT-based behavioral analytics and searchable audit logging infrastructure.
- Work with investigators to tune detections, reduce false positives, and scale their impact.
- Scrape and normalize external data for threat detection and enrichment workflows.
Requirements
- Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL for detection logic, data pipelines, and automation.
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or DBT.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence concepts including IOCs, YARA rules, and threat correlation techniques.
- Experience integrating external APIs and building data ingestion systems.
- Ability to translate investigator workflows into technical requirements and iterate on early systems using feedback.
- Strong communication skills for working with non-engineering stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with MISP, STIX/TAXII, cyber threat intelligence, security operations, abuse detection, MCP servers, web scraping, behavioral analytics, anomaly detection, LLM automation, or a Top Secret Clearance.
- At least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
