Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure
HummingbirdResponsibilities
- Support the underlying infrastructure for Hummingbird’s platform.
- Build developer tooling and manage the AWS environment using Terraform.
- Make cross-cutting code changes, analyze scaling issues, configure monitoring tools, and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Influence the overall architecture and hosting strategy through technical discussions and significant engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with a small, experienced, fully remote engineering team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with cloud-hosted web applications.
- Experience diagnosing complex technical problems through logs and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work across networking, file systems, database configuration, and high-level architecture.
- Strong focus on quality, testing, security, reliability, and correctness.
- Bonus: experience in the financial sector, particularly compliance or fraud.
