Responsibilities

Design and actively implement scalable, secure, maintainable, cost-effective enterprise software solutions.
Provide hands-on architectural and technical guidance to development teams throughout the software lifecycle, from concept through deployment.
Collaborate on system architecture decisions and align technical solutions with business goals and engineering standards.
Support cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure, including AKS, managed data storage, compute, and networking services.
Design and contribute to distributed, event-driven systems using streaming technologies such as Kafka.
Work with product, engineering, DevOps, and security teams to address functional and non-functional requirements.
Document architectures and help establish development standards and best practices.
Contribute to solution designs involving AI capabilities and promote AI-assisted developer tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor.
Stay current with cloud computing, AI, DevOps, and distributed-systems technologies.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including direct architecture and system-design work.
Demonstrated experience delivering hands-on solutions through implementation and troubleshooting, not architecture design alone.
Strong knowledge of scalable, secure, cost-conscious, and maintainable enterprise systems.
Practical experience with Azure Cloud services, including Kubernetes on Azure through AKS, storage, and networking.
Exposure to Kafka and high-throughput, event-driven environments.
Deep expertise in at least one modern backend language such as C#, Java, or C++, with willingness to learn new technologies.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL data systems, data modeling, performance tuning, and operational considerations at scale.
Experience with OLTP or OLAP systems is preferred.
Familiarity with integrating or leveraging AI services or frameworks in software architectures is preferred.
Competence with version control, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, and performance tuning.
Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions to engineers and stakeholders.
Pragmatic, outcome-focused approach balancing technical quality, business needs, and delivery timelines.
