Responsibilities
- Define and own enterprise API architecture, reference architectures, integration patterns, and standards for banking, digital, and open-banking initiatives.
- Lead API design and domain modeling using RESTful principles, service architectures, microservices patterns, and BIAN.
- Establish API design standards, security models, performance, resilience, observability, compliance, and other nonfunctional requirements.
- Translate business capabilities into well-defined APIs with clear contracts and documentation in collaboration with business, product, and delivery teams.
- Provide architectural oversight through API design reviews and architecture assurance across the API lifecycle.
- Guide engineering teams on API platform usage, DevSecOps integration, and deployment patterns.
- Drive API governance, catalog management, reuse, discoverability, duplication reduction, and technical-debt reduction.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, API technologies, Java GUI, XML, XSLT, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat, IIS, and WebSphere application servers.
- Experience with end-to-end agile infrastructure architecture across all layers.
- Experience designing API and service-based architectures using SOAP, REST APIs, microservices, and JSON for web or mobile applications.
- Experience with enterprise-scale distributed NoSQL solutions including MongoDB, in-memory databases, and caching solutions.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Stash, SonarQube, and Performance Center.
- Knowledge of PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS cloud environments including Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, and Azure.
- Experience with DevOps processes and strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Lean UX, and XP delivery methods.
- Experience with high-availability and contingency solutions.
