Responsibilities
- Design and build Python backend services and APIs using a modern web framework such as FastAPI.
- Develop React and TypeScript UI features, dashboards, data grids, configuration screens, and state-managed frontend workflows.
- Implement SSO, session and token handling, JWT-based authorization patterns, role-based permissions, audit logging, and change tracking.
- Build scheduling and background-job capabilities with retries and status tracking, and manage database schemas through migrations.
- Write automated backend, frontend component, and integration tests while maintaining type safety, code quality, and linting standards.
- Develop AI-powered assistant, insights, and recommendation features across API and UI layers using governed LLM or AI-service integrations.
- Containerize and deploy services across multiple environments using Docker and Kubernetes/Helm.
- Provision cloud infrastructure with Terraform and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for testing, scanning, image builds, and deployments.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams while supporting observability and API design best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent stated qualifications are not provided.
- At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience with ownership of production systems spanning backend and frontend.
- Strong Python proficiency, including production API development and ORM experience.
- Strong React and TypeScript proficiency, including hooks-based components, client-side data fetching and caching, and routing.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational data modeling.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorization, SSO, tokens/JWT, and role-based permission models across API and UI layers.
- Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
- Comfort using AI coding assistants including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor and critically reviewing generated code.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to own features end to end.
