Base Salary
$307k - $427k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of global fleet planning and define a multi-year engineering roadmap targeting 10x more data center capacity.
- Develop models for ML hardware, general compute, power, cooling, physical space, supply chain workflows, and network topology to forecast and reconfigure fleet resources.
- Partner with AI and Infrastructure organizations to define a unified capacity management product suite for AI training and inference customers.
- Integrate AI/ML, operations research, and advanced mathematical optimization into capacity planning workflows.
- Collaborate with academic institutions and industry pioneers to anticipate technology trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience delivering large-scale capacity planning, IaaS/PaaS solutions, or fleet management systems.
- Preferred experience architecting, leading, and delivering large-scale capacity planning, combinatorial optimization, fleet management, or distributed infrastructure transformations.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML infrastructure demands, including TPU/GPU topologies and accelerators, with the ability to integrate AI-driven solutions.
- Ability to influence and lead without direct authority across Hardware, Software, Supply Chain, and Product Management teams.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain complex mathematical, economic, and architectural concepts to engineering leaders and executive stakeholders.
- A preferred master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field such as Networking or Security Systems.
Benefits
- US base salary of $307,000–$427,000, plus a 30% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
