Base Salary
$262k - $364k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on projects and influence and coach a distributed engineering team.
- Facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
- Build traffic engineering functionality for Google and Google Cloud Platform services.
- Design, implement, and qualify networking features, solver algorithms, network programming coordination and management, software architecture evolution, availability improvements, and network traffic optimization.
- Collaborate with UTE team members, test engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers to ship product releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 5 years of experience with software design and architecture and testing or launching software products.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Experience with software performance optimization, debugging complex distributed systems, designing and implementing large-scale real-time systems, software-defined networking, and network architecture design.
