Staff Software Engineer - Robotic Simulation

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical roadmap and architecture of the core simulation platform.
  • Design and scale cloud-native simulation pipelines for rapid policy iteration.
  • Develop advanced contact models and actuator dynamics for sim-to-real transfer.
  • Lead the development of sensor-realistic environments for robot vision capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Control and AI research teams to drive the evolution of tools.

Requirements

  • Excellent C++ and Python programming skills.
  • Familiarity with software development best practices, including CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Technical leadership experience in robotic simulation.
  • Understanding of robotics concepts like kinematics, dynamics, and controls.
  • Experience with modern robotic simulators like IsaacLab and MuJoCo.
  • Understanding of Reinforcement Learning and VLAs.
  • Experience managing large-scale training workloads on cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal.
  • MS or PhD in relevant fields with significant experience in robotic simulations.
