Responsibilities
- Define and own the long-term technical roadmap for the C++ build platform.
- Architect scalable build infrastructure, including remote caching and cross-compilation.
- Set standards for reproducible builds and artifact provenance.
- Manage high-performance build environments and the artifact lifecycle.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines and establish build health metrics.
- Balance developer flexibility with reproducibility in the C++ dependency ecosystem.
- Shape the developer productivity roadmap with engineering leadership.
- Drive initiatives to consolidate build patterns and resolve productivity issues.
- Mentor engineers on build best practices and serve as a technical authority.
- Act as the escalation point for complex cross-domain issues.
Requirements
- Deep expertise with C/C++ and its build ecosystem.
- Proven ability to architect and operate build infrastructure at scale.
- Strong command of the Linux operating system.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python and Bash.
- Experience driving technical strategy beyond immediate teams.
- Track record of solving ambiguous, organization-wide technical problems.
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Solid understanding of core networking fundamentals.
