Base Salary
$145k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define data architecture, ingestion, storage, and access patterns across transactional databases and analytical warehouses.
- Conduct internal customer discovery across engineering, operations, finance, sales, and software teams to design backend data tools and platforms.
- Build standardized data pipelines and dbt modeling frameworks integrating telemetry, supply chain, factory, and ERP data.
- Develop unified pipelines for structured logs, traces, and hardware telemetry to support monitoring and debugging.
- Establish data governance, RBAC, schema evolution, data quality, and backward compatibility practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- 5+ years of professional software or data engineering experience focused on data infrastructure, data platforms, or backend engineering.
- Strong proficiency with Python and software design fundamentals.
- Production experience implementing RBAC, data governance, and schema evolution or migration strategies.
- Deep expertise with PostgreSQL, OLTP workflows, columnar databases, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
- Experience with dbt, Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
- Bonus experience includes Altium, Arena, First Resonance ION, NetSuite, aerospace or manufacturing systems, RESTful or gRPC APIs, Docker, Kubernetes/GKE, and GCP.
