Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and evolve an intermediate representation, analysis passes, and C++ code generation while keeping the core independent of a source language.
- Build type inference and lowering for dynamic Python features including arbitrary-precision integers, exceptions, generators, containers, and library calls.
- Measure semantic equivalence through differential testing against CPython, conformance suites, and fuzzing.
- Integrate LLM-assisted generation with structured outputs and checks to detect errors.
- Collaborate with verification and domain specialists to incorporate static analysis and formal methods.
- Establish engineering standards covering tests, CI/CD, reproducible builds, and code review.
- Lead the architecture of the translation pipeline and large technical projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in C++ and/or Python shipping software to real users.
- Hands-on experience building a compiler, transpiler, interpreter, or language runtime across the end-to-end pipeline.
- Deep understanding of parsing, AST and IR design, type systems, IR transformations, and code generation.
- Experience with compiler infrastructure such as Clang/LLVM, MLIR, GCC, or equivalent.
- Strong modern C++ knowledge, including templates, value semantics, undefined behavior, and source-to-machine-code mapping.
- Experience with code review, testing, CI/CD, and build systems.
- Track record of leading large technical projects and translating stakeholder needs into designs.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes dynamic-language implementation or analysis, differential testing, fuzzing, symbolic execution, formal verification, LLM-based code generation or program repair, and embedded, FPGA, GPU, or resource-constrained targets.
- Familiarity with DSP, RF, communications, or other compute-intensive domains is preferred.
- Current security clearance or ability to obtain one is preferred; U.S. citizenship is required for cleared work.
