Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack features across the Kotlin Backend-for-Frontend and React frontend.
- Build backend composition logic and frontend experiences for automated, personalised landing pages.
- Implement personalisation, targeting, and A/B testing features for marketing automation.
- Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver user experiences.
- Deploy and operate services in AWS, including participating in team on-call practices.
- Write testable, maintainable code and contribute through code and design reviews.
Requirements
- Around 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience building backend services ideally with Kotlin, or with Java or another JVM language and an interest in switching to Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.
- Experience with ES6, bundlers such as Webpack or Vite, and CSS or preprocessors such as LESS or SASS.
- Ability to write readable, maintainable, well-tested code and work effectively in an existing codebase.
- Some exposure to or willingness to learn AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- Clear communication and a collaborative, pragmatic approach with technical and non-technical colleagues.
