Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain highly available Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across environments.
- Monitor platform health and workload performance, respond to incidents, and resolve complex networking, performance, and system-level failures.
- Automate container-platform deployment, scaling, lifecycle management, and operational processes.
- Optimize compute, memory, storage, platform performance, and cost efficiency.
- Implement Kubernetes security controls, access management, compliance requirements, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Design and manage persistent storage, CSI drivers, and stateful workload architectures.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
- Administer container registries, including image lifecycle management, access control, vulnerability scanning, and secure artifact distribution.
- Evaluate emerging Kubernetes technologies and patterns and improve platform reliability and availability.
- Lead technical initiatives, collaborate across teams, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a focus on cloud computing and container technologies is required.
- At least 12 years of professional experience is required.
- At least five years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift is required.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, APIs, control-plane internals, Docker or Podman, and Kubernetes/OpenShift lifecycle management is required.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and infrastructure automation is required.
- Strong knowledge of networking, including CNI plugins, service connectivity, ingress configurations, persistent storage, CSI-based storage, RBAC, and policy engines is required.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and administering container registries such as Harbor is required.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and infrastructure management is required.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, technical leadership, and mentoring skills are expected.
- Fifteen years of full-time education is required.
