Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-wide CI/CD ecosystems, GitOps frameworks, and self-service developer platforms.
- Embed automated security controls, policy-as-code, SBOMs, artifact signing, and supply chain security into engineering workflows.
- Align engineering platforms with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and risk management protocols.
- Mentor engineering teams, lead threat modeling, and drive cloud-native best practices.
- Champion, evaluate, pilot, and operationalize AI-assisted engineering workflows and developer tools.
- Define governance for AI-generated code and deliver AI adoption training, workshops, and enablement sessions.
- Prototype solutions, build internal tools, and contribute to critical-path code when needed.
- Improve code quality, defect escape rate, and delivery lead time through tooling, process improvement, and coaching.
- Identify systemic quality issues across the portfolio and develop durable root-cause solutions.
- Mentor senior engineers and build communities of practice and engineering alignment forums.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 5 years at staff, principal, or architect level across multiple teams.
- 12 to 15+ years in IT, including 5+ years in senior architectural leadership covering DevSecOps, SRE, and cloud infrastructure.
- Expert knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and Argo CD.
- Proficiency with GitHub Advanced Security, Sonatype, Fortify, HashiCorp Vault, and container security tools such as Kyverno or Cilium.
- 4+ years of experience with modern SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience integrating LLMs into enterprise applications such as chatbots, copilots, and knowledge databases.
- Experience with AI data pipelines, including data ingestion, feature engineering, and embeddings.
- Proven ability to influence engineering quality across multiple teams without direct reporting authority.
- Strong application security knowledge, including OAuth2/JWT, TLS, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
- Excellent stakeholder influence, cross-functional collaboration, written and verbal communication, technical documentation, executive presentation, and mentoring skills.
- Fintech or payments experience is optional; customer- or client-perspective design experience is valued.
