Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mission planning, routing, and human-assisted autonomy for driverless operation on public roads.
- Develop the architecture and long-term roadmap for the motion-planning stack.
- Identify metrics, evaluate system effectiveness, and improve product and engineering excellence.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the engineering organization.
- Integrate onboard and offboard driving logic and collaborate with human-assisted autonomy and operations specialists.
- Automate and expedite truck launches and landings.
- Partner with Perception, Controls, Systems, Simulation, and Product teams to define interfaces, requirements, and system behavior.
- Solve problems involving route generation, mission updates, responsive driving, real-time computing, and cloud computing.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience developing production-level robotics software.
- Strong proficiency with modern C++.
- Expertise in motion planning, graph theory, distributed computing, and related domains.
- Experience delivering complex autonomous systems.
- Ability to provide leadership on ambiguous, real-world challenges.
- Preferred experience managing or mentoring robotics engineers, deploying software on autonomous vehicles, building safety cases for driverless autonomy, improving production latency, throughput, or reliability, building simulation frameworks, and using data analysis for decisions.
