Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, implement, and maintain business rules using IBM Operational Decision Manager.
  • Model and manage business rules, decision tables, decision trees, and decision flows.
  • Define governance strategies and lifecycles for business rules.
  • Integrate the ODM rules engine with Java-based corporate applications.
  • Contribute to service-oriented and microservices architecture evolution.
  • Translate business requirements into maintainable executable rules with functional and technical teams.
  • Optimize solution performance, traceability, and maintainability.
  • Manage and deploy RuleApps and support ODM integrations.
  • Contribute to Angular-based user interfaces related to decision processes and rule management.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of demonstrable experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager.
  • Advanced knowledge of Rule Designer, Decision Center, Rule Execution Server, Decision Tables, Business Rules, and RuleApps.
  • Extensive Java development experience, with Java 8 or higher and preferably Java 17 or 21.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and JPA/Hibernate.
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs and integrating ODM with SOA or microservices architectures.
  • Knowledge of relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with Angular, preferably Angular 12 or higher, plus TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and API consumption.
  • Experience translating functional requirements into maintainable rules and collaborating with business areas.
  • Experience in regulated sectors such as insurance, banking, public administration, or telecommunications is valued.
  • Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban is valued.
  • Technical leadership and team mentoring capabilities.
  • Experience in digital transformation, business decision automation, or modernization of corporate applications is valued.
