Base Salary
$87k - $173k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Go services and components for scalable cloud-based healthcare platforms.
- Develop high-volume, low-latency services and complex asynchronous messaging and backend processing systems.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that enable medical data sharing with partner systems.
- Design secure, maintainable, highly available, and monitorable solutions in collaboration with InfoSec and architecture teams.
- Contribute to performance, uptime, scale, code quality, testing, technical planning, design, and peer code reviews.
- Build internal tooling and APIs and implement systemic changes aligned with architectural goals.
- Collaborate with data services and internal and external partners on API contracts and technical solutions.
- Create diagrams, flowcharts, and models documenting solution components and workflows.
- Stay current with software development trends and recommend innovations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience in an Agile environment, including technical residency experience, or a master’s degree with at least 4 years of related experience.
- Software development experience with Go, including idiomatic Go, concurrency, goroutines, channel patterns, and Go tools and frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available, maintainable architectures and complex asynchronous messaging and backend processing jobs.
- Practical experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar database technologies.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and software development experience.
- Preferred: practical Linux knowledge; exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, or other container services; open-source software development experience; relational datastore experience; and experience with Confluence and JIRA.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams, communicate well, learn new languages, and contribute beyond current experience.
