Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support scalable backend services, REST APIs, full-stack applications, and enterprise integration components.
- Build applications using C#, .NET Core, .NET, ASP.NET Web API, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.
- Develop responsive, accessible, reusable frontend components and integrate them with secure backend APIs and cloud-hosted services.
- Implement integrations across enterprise applications, services, databases, and cloud platforms with attention to reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Create unit, integration, and regression tests and apply practices for validation, logging, versioning, dependency management, debugging, and secure configuration.
- Develop and operate applications in Microsoft Azure using PaaS, storage, messaging, monitoring, and other cloud-native services.
- Support deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, production incidents, root-cause analysis, and operational improvement for cloud-hosted applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Agile delivery teams through refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives, and iterative feature delivery.
- Use approved generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot for code generation, refactoring, documentation, and test creation while validating outputs.
- Work with Chevron enterprise tools and engineering standards, including Azure DevOps, GHAZDO, DAST, ServiceNow, CDAS, and cvxcontrols.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core or .NET, ASP.NET Web API, and full-stack application development.
- Strong working knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS/SCSS.
- Experience building cloud-native applications with Microsoft Azure PaaS services.
- Experience developing REST APIs and backend services, integrating systems, and accessing SQL-based data.
- Understanding of software design patterns, SOLID principles, dependency injection, object-oriented programming, asynchronous programming, debugging, source control, and testing.
- Experience using Git and Azure DevOps Pipelines for source control, CI/CD, and release automation.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Awareness of Python, generative AI concepts, data engineering fundamentals, distributed systems, asynchronous processing, messaging, background jobs, and containerization.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and ownership skills.
