Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop cloud-based solutions and robust customer experiences in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across engineering teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and distributed-system performance improvements.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering communities and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7 or more years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: experience with databases, AWS, GCP, Azure, open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, using observability to optimize distributed-system performance, and leveraging modern AI-based coding tools and interactive AI tooling.
- Preferred: experience mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, and establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
