Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and optimize performance in distributed systems.
- Mentor engineers and influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed programming languages, and 3+ years of database or cloud experience.
- Preferred experience includes front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, using AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots, mentoring engineers, observability, distributed-system performance optimization, and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
