Staff Applied AI Engineer - Pre-Sales

Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales and AI Solution Practice Leaders to shape technical strategy, win evaluations, and transition engagements to post-sales delivery.
- Lead technical discovery covering business objectives, success criteria, data landscapes, architecture, security, and organizational readiness.
- Translate discovery findings into GenAI solution architectures using internal frameworks and complementary third-party technologies.
- Design, build, and deliver bespoke demos involving evaluation pipelines, dataset strategies, RAG systems, fine-tuning workflows, prompt engineering, and agentic architectures.
- Author proposals, Statements of Work, and RFP/RFI responses with clear scope, sound architecture, realistic estimates, and delivery alignment.
- Capture reusable patterns from demos as reference architectures, benchmarks, demo assets, and internal solution playbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Statistics, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as pre-sales, solutions engineering, or applied AI.
- Hands-on Python experience and familiarity with LLM ecosystems, RAG, vector databases, data processing, synthetic dataset curation, evaluation workflows, LLM orchestration, and agent authoring tools.
- Expertise with classical machine learning and data processing frameworks including scikit-learn, pandas, and Spark.
- Ability to rapidly prototype ML solutions, RAG systems, prompt-based workflows, fine-tuned models, and agentic systems.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into testable technical approaches and measurable success criteria.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Experience estimating scope and producing technical content for proposals and Statements of Work.
