Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive feature test plans based on requirements.
- Define testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Create, automate, and execute test cases while ensuring adequate coverage.
- Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and suites.
- Test REST and web service APIs using automation tools.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide feedback to development teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, product managers, and business analysts.
- Measure and report quality-related metrics and provide software quality updates.
- Prioritize and validate defects with development teams.
- Identify and implement QA process improvements and testing best practices.
- Participate in project planning and release management activities.
- Stay current with QA technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of proven experience as a test engineer with extensive quality assurance and automation testing experience.
- B.Tech or M.Tech in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in REST and web services API testing and automation using Postman and Rest Assured.
- Experience writing automation scripts using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD); knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a plus.
- Experience measuring and reporting quality-related metrics.
- Experience with test case and test execution management tools such as Zephyr Scale.
- Experience with defect management tools such as Jira.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, test planning, execution, and problem-solving skills.
- JavaScript experience is a plus.
- Mobile automation experience is a plus.
