Responsibilities
- Define cloud architecture, engineering standards, reusable patterns, and best practices across the organization.
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, including multi-account environments, AWS Organizations, and Control Tower.
- Architect secure and scalable cloud networking involving VPCs, routing, transit networking, private connectivity, shared services, and cross-account resource sharing.
- Develop reusable infrastructure modules, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code patterns using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Establish CI/CD integration patterns for infrastructure provisioning and standardized cloud-service consumption.
- Define AWS IAM and AWS Identity Center identity and access patterns, security controls, logging, compliance guardrails, and governance.
- Design hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers, third-party environments, and AWS using Direct Connect, VPN, and related networking technologies.
- Lead architecture reviews, complex incidents, infrastructure troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and strategic cloud initiatives.
- Evaluate cloud technologies, provide technical direction across teams, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or related technical roles.
- Significant experience designing and operating enterprise cloud environments and serving as a senior technical lead or architect.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS, AWS Organizations, multi-account architectures, enterprise governance, and AWS networking.
- Strong experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation, reusable infrastructure patterns, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and automated infrastructure deployment.
- Strong knowledge of IAM, identity federation, and AWS Identity Center.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence architecture and engineering standards across an organization.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience with container platforms, serverless technologies, or cloud-native architectures is preferred.
- Additional experience with Azure or GCP is strongly preferred.
