Responsibilities

  • Own release planning and coordination across multiple teams and services, including schedules, cut-off dates, freeze windows, and go/no-go criteria.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions across build, test, artifact, and deployment stages.
  • Manage branching, versioning, and release strategies across PHP, .NET, and React codebases.
  • Define and enforce quality gates by integrating Selenium and Playwright automated test suites into release pipelines.
  • Coordinate deployments across development, staging, and production environments and own rollback and recovery procedures.
  • Lead release readiness reviews, track work items and risks in Azure DevOps Boards, and secure required sign-offs.
  • Maintain release notes, change logs, and complete audit trails for compliance and post-mortem purposes.
  • Partner with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to remove bottlenecks and improve cycle time and deployment frequency.
  • Establish release metrics and use them to drive process improvements and repeatable, self-service deployments.
  • Use automation and AI tooling to optimize releases and QA automation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in release management, DevOps, or build/release engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, including Pipelines, Repos, Boards, and Artifacts, and with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
  • Strong understanding of branching and versioning strategies across multiple languages and runtimes.
  • Experience integrating Selenium and Playwright automated testing into release pipelines as enforced quality gates.
  • Working familiarity with .NET, React, and PHP application stacks.
  • Knowledge of blue/green, canary, and rolling deployment patterns and rollback strategies.
  • Ability to run go/no-go calls and coordinate cross-functional teams during releases or incidents.
  • Preferred experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization and orchestration.
  • Preferred familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Preferred knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep.
  • Preferred exposure to NuGet, npm, and Composer artifact or package management.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments such as SOC 2 or ISO is preferred.
