Base Salary
$92k - $154k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate user requirements and industry needs into development objectives with product management and user communities.
- Build and test ArcGIS functionality for enterprise geodatabases and data-management services including utility network, feature service, network diagram, version management, geodata, and WFS.
- Plan and drive the design, quality assurance, certification, and release of ArcGIS data-management functionality.
- Define documentation objectives for explaining sophisticated technology to users.
- Communicate plans and status to internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and patterns with existing software.
- Drive release planning, iteration planning, daily stand-ups, iteration reviews, and retrospectives.
- Assess product quality and release readiness.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing, developing, and/or implementing solutions using ArcGIS software.
- Experience with an application-development language such as C#, Java, C++, or Python.
- Strong expertise with a commercial relational database management system.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, time-management, teamwork, and continuous-learning skills.
- Ability to guide staff toward excellence.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle is preferred.
- Experience with JSON, REST, or JavaScript is preferred.
- Experience developing and executing automated, functional, regression, and performance tests is preferred.
- Knowledge of source-control and issue-management systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with system and web-server administration is preferred.
- A master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
