Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, application development, model development, and implementation of new or revised systems.
- Manage and monitor application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and user or operational support.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Develop security measures and conduct post-implementation analysis to ensure system functionality and appropriate risk controls.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; install and assist with customer-facing systems where required.
- Follow required procedures, help define operating standards, and address enhancements and fixes for existing and new batches using Agile practices.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
- Assess risk, comply with applicable laws and policies, and escalate and report control issues transparently.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in Java application development.
- Experience with Java/JDK 1.8 or later and Java 17 or later, Spring Boot, Kafka, gRPC, ECS, MongoDB, REST APIs, JUnit, and SQL fundamentals.
- Experience with Java performance tuning, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Gradle, Splunk, and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and TeamCity, uDeploy, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
- Experience with design patterns, code reviews, coding standards, unit testing, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Experience in systems analysis, software application programming, and successfully managing and implementing projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project-management techniques and the ability to work under pressure and manage changing deadlines or requirements.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
