Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, secure, accessible, high-performance interfaces for traditional and AI-powered applications.
- Own frontend architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Build conversational, copilot-style, intent-driven, streaming, and human-in-the-loop AI experiences.
- Develop reusable UI components, design systems, and modular or composable frontend architectures.
- Prototype and productionize new interaction patterns while applying product, UX, research, experimentation, analytics, and feedback insights.
- Measure and improve traditional and AI-powered experiences using testing, telemetry, performance, reliability, and UX metrics.
- Partner with product, design, AI/ML, backend, and platform teams and influence frontend engineering standards and technical direction.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent 5+ years of work experience.
- 8+ years of experience focused on frontend or full-stack technology.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js, with experience building accessible, responsive, high-performance web applications.
- Experience with frontend styling, reusable UI components, design systems, frontend architecture, state management, reactive and asynchronous UI patterns, rendering strategies, and modular or micro-frontend architectures.
- Hands-on experience building GenAI or agentic applications and user-facing experiences powered by LLMs, AI agents, or multi-step AI workflows.
- Experience with prompt engineering, context management, conversation state, tool invocation, streaming UX, human-in-the-loop patterns, AI transparency, explainability, guardrails, and user controls.
- Experience defining and instrumenting AI and agentic UX metrics, including latency, task completion, response quality, engagement, recovery, and trust signals.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, component, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience with frontend build systems, package management, developer tooling, Git, delivery pipelines, and secrets management.
- Familiarity with Figma, Docker, and Kubernetes; browser extension or mobile application development is a plus.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Gemini Code Assist, including validating generated code for correctness, security, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
- A portfolio, GitHub profile, or examples of sophisticated user-facing applications is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, technical leadership, and ability to operate in an ambiguous, cross-functional environment are required.
