Responsibilities
- Design, train, and ship ranking and retrieval models for AI agents.
- Develop ranking signals beyond pure relevance and improve search quality using customer and benchmark feedback.
- Build and maintain evaluation frameworks that measure the impact of search-engine changes.
- Optimize model serving for latency, reliability, and GPU cost.
- Demonstrate ranking improvements with clear before-and-after metrics and collaborate closely with the CTO, founders, and engineering team.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on production experience in information retrieval, ranking, or search.
- Ability to build rigorous evaluations and validate the data behind results.
- Focus on latency, cost, reliability, and model quality.
- Interest in building search infrastructure for AI agents and working in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment.
