Responsibilities
- Operate and support Ericsson NFVI and CNIS platforms across production, pre-production, and lab environments.
- Provide technical support for CNIS data fabric, Anycast Gateway, routing fabrics, SDN/SDI, CEE, Kubernetes, and storage subsystems.
- Own complex incidents from triage through root-cause analysis, permanent remediation, and post-incident improvements.
- Contribute to high-level and low-level designs for deployments, upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
- Analyze capacity, traffic patterns, and failure scenarios and tune routing, fabric, storage, and workload placement for performance and resiliency.
- Plan and execute software upgrades, patching, hardware refreshes, compatibility checks, and regression testing.
- Develop and maintain automation and reusable runbooks for deployment, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Collaborate with internal product, design, customer operations, and customer teams, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and network operations, preferably in telecom or large-scale distributed environments.
- Strong experience with Ericsson NFVI and/or CNIS deployments in live customer or large internal networks.
- Experience operating data-center fabrics, production Kubernetes/CEE environments hosting CNFs, and telco storage platforms.
- Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, ECMP, Anycast Gateway, multi-VRF, LAG/MC-LAG, and high-availability designs.
- Experience with data-center switches and routers, virtualization, and SDN/SDI integration with NFVI/CNIS.
- Experience with Kubernetes cluster operations, CNF deployment patterns, ECFE, and storage integration.
- Knowledge of SAN, NAS, SDS, and I/O path troubleshooting.
- Scripting and automation experience with Python, Bash, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
