Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, performance, reliability, and scalability testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web, API, and backend applications.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are testable.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive actions for defects.
- Integrate automated testing into deployment workflows and support CI/CD pipelines.
- Review requirements, designs, and technical specifications for testability and quality coverage.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality engineering best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Engineering function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Experience testing REST APIs with tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of database testing and SQL queries.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
