Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test cases and frameworks for functional and non-functional testing.
- Advise on testability during design and implementation and champion quality practices.
- Drive testing strategies across services, microservices, and UIs for large-scale distributed systems.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to align test coverage with business needs.
- Contribute to test planning and own execution for assigned features or product areas.
- Log, prioritize, and manage defects using tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Analyze test results, generate quality metrics, and communicate risks and issues.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices across teams.
Requirements
- Strong coding skills in Java, Kotlin, or similar languages, with experience building maintainable test automation code.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in test automation and manual QA roles.
- Proficiency with UI testing tools including Selenium, Cypress, and Appium.
- Proficiency with API testing tools including REST Assured, Postman, and SoapUI.
- Experience with BDD tools such as Cucumber and Serenity.
- Experience with database testing and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience testing distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred exposure to financial services, fintech, or trading system technologies.
- Preferred experience leading test strategy for medium-to-large projects or components.
- Preferred familiarity with XRAY, TestRail, Grafana, Kibana, or Prometheus.
- Understanding of performance, reliability, or security testing approaches is preferred.
- ISTQB or CSTE certification is a plus.
