Base Salary
$190k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect the incrementality product into a reliable, scalable experimentation platform and own its technical decisions.
- Set the technical direction for near-real-time data ingestion and processing beyond batch workflows.
- Define patterns for AI-powered workflows that help marketers evaluate performance and act on insights.
- Lead connection-state systems and the partner ecosystem across data ingestion and exports.
- Shape technical approaches for adjacent product areas such as role-based access control.
- Take products from ambiguity and early traction through architecture, implementation, and production scale.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and data scientists to shape product direction and implementation.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and improve the team’s engineering practices and standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and building distributed backend systems, microservices, APIs, or data-processing systems in Python.
- Deep experience owning system architecture and making tradeoffs that emerge at scale.
- Experience partnering with product managers, designers, and data scientists to shape what gets built.
- Startup experience or experience working in environments requiring breadth, sound judgment, and problem-solving under ambiguity.
- Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous product needs into sound technical architecture and production-ready solutions across multiple problem spaces.
- Ability to navigate complex datasets and interconnected tables to investigate issues, trace dependencies, and determine solutions.
- Working frontend experience with React and TypeScript; deep frontend specialization is not required.
- Strong coding fundamentals and the ability to use AI as an accelerator rather than a substitute for core capabilities.
- Generalist mindset and willingness to work across backend, frontend, pipelines, and infrastructure.
- Experience mentoring engineers and improving team operations.
- Bonus experience in data-intensive backend engineering, frontend delivery, and resolving complex architecture questions.
