Responsibilities
- Design, architect, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available, secure cloud infrastructure on GCP and/or AWS.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-scale Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments using Helm or Kustomize and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Cloud Build, Harness, or similar platforms.
- Implement deployment strategies including rolling, canary, and blue/green releases while ensuring pipeline auditability and observability.
- Apply infrastructure security, audit, and compliance best practices.
- Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, triage, escalation, communications, and post-incident reviews.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health and define SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and alerting strategies.
- Mentor and train engineering staff.
- Engage with clients to understand technical and business requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and production issues.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering or a similar role.
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services, including architecting for scale, availability, and high-performance workloads.
- Deep knowledge of Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code and strong experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, branching models, and rolling, canary, and blue/green deployment strategies.
- Experience with infrastructure security, auditing, compliance, incident management, major incident handling, and distributed observability.
- Experience defining and managing SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, alerting strategies, logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Experience with technical mentoring, team formation, self-organization, client relationship management, and project planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications such as Kubernetes Certified Administrator or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect are valued.
- Software development experience such as Terraform or Python and exposure to machine learning infrastructure are valued.
